Job Description
General Manager Derbyshire
£55,000 – £60,000 plus annual bonus, company vehicle, fuel card, pension and 25 days holiday excluding statutory days
Are you an experienced leader in the stainless steel and carbon steel industry? Do you thrive in a hands-on environment where quality, safety, and performance are top priorities? We are currently seeking a General Manager/Operations Manager to lead our workshop operations and drive continued excellence in fabrication.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily workflow and operations of the workshop
- Supervise, motivate, and support a team of fabricators and welders
- Main H&S Standards and Compliance
- Manage materials, stock and workshop resources
- Contribute to hands-on fabrication as needed
- Drive performance whilst upholding company values
- Project Commercials & Project Procurement
- Management of the inhouse Design Team
- Managing installation and fabrication
- Maintaining profit margins
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in pipe fabrication, welding and stainless steel products
- Strong working knowledge of stainless and carbon steel
- Familiarity with general fabrication techniques
- Excellent team leadership and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
- Demonstrated commitment to high standards of workplace safety and product quality
