About the Role
Lead Deals. Build Partnerships. Shape the Future of EdTech.
We’re looking for a commercially minded, tech-savvy leader to join our Global Partnerships team as a Strategic Partnerships Manager (Technology). In this high-impact role, you’ll be responsible for driving revenue and growing Moodle’s global partner ecosystem – including integrations, resellers (VARs) and Marketplace vendors. You’ll lead a small team, own ambitious commercial targets and play a central role in negotiating high-value technology partnerships that bring real value to our users and the Moodle platform.
You don’t need to be an engineer – but you should have a genuine interest in technology, understand what things like APIs and integrations mean in a business context and be comfortable engaging with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
Most days in this role usually involve a mix of:
- Design and execute partnership strategies that drive revenue, product value and ecosystem growth
- Lead and close commercial negotiations, from early-stage conversations through to signed deals
- Oversee and refine scalable programs for certified integrations, resellers and Marketplace vendors
- Manage a small team to deliver on ambitious targets and contribute to a high-performance culture
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Legal and Marketing to bring partnerships to life
- Drive partner compliance, reporting and onboarding with support from operational resources
- Identify and pursue new opportunities – from growth in key markets (e.g. US Federal, India) to platform-aligned integrations
We’d love to meet you
Especially if you can tell us about your:
- Proven experience in strategic partnerships, business development or partner/channel sales
- A track record of negotiating and closing commercial deals and managing key partner relationships
- Leadership experience – you know how to set direction, motivate your team, and deliver results together
- Strong commercial and strategic thinking, with the ability to balance partner needs and business goals
- An interest in the tech landscape you understand concepts like APIs and integrations and can speak confidently with both business and technical teams
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills – you know how to bring people on the journey
Bonus Points For:
- Experience working with education technology, SaaS or digital platforms
- Familiarity with partner marketplaces or channel sales ecosystems
- Experience working with US Federal or Indian market partners
