We are looking for an experienced Environmental and ESG Advisor to support, develop, and maintain effective environmental and social performance programs, with a focus on ESG compliance and reporting. The role will help drive the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of these programs across global operations. A key focus will be on implementing reporting requirements and providing clear, practical guidance on best practices to internal teams.
Location: London (4 days per week in the office).
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in science, engineering, or environmental management disciplines
- Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in the oil and gas industry
- Membership in a recognised HSE or environmental professional body
- Proven experience with carbon accounting and emissions tracking
- Familiarity with recognised ESG reporting standards and regulatory frameworks
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and strengthening of a high-performance HSE and ESG culture across the organisation
- Coordinate corporate ESG data for internal reporting (monthly and annual) and assist with external disclosures
- Collaborate with technical and HSE teams to implement environmental and climate-related initiatives and risk assessments
- Lead the identification and implementation of emissions reduction strategies
- Provide guidance on environmental studies, impact assessments, policies, and procedures in line with local legal requirements, IOGP standards, and industry best practices
- Support emergency preparedness and oil spill response planning
- Conduct environmental audits and assurance activities across operational sites
- Assist in the development of social performance procedures and community-related programs
- Collaborate with HSE and communications teams to further enhance sustainability reporting practices
- Provide support to the broader corporate HSE function as needed
