Head of Data Centres – EMEA/UK

Location: London

Sector: Real Estate – Data Centres / Mission-Critical

Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: Executive package + bonus

About the Role

A leading global real estate consultancy is seeking a dynamic and commercially focused Head of Data Centres to lead its growing data centre platform across the UK and EMEA. This is a strategic leadership role, combining sector expertise, client relationship management, team development, and service line growth.

The successful candidate will drive the firm’s market presence across transactional, advisory, valuation, capital markets, and occupier services, while working closely with regional and global stakeholders to deliver consistent, best-in-class outcomes for hyperscale operators, colocation providers, investors, developers, and enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow the data centre service line across the UK/EMEA, setting vision, strategy, and commercial goals
  • Act as senior point of contact for key data centre clients – operators, developers, REITs, and infrastructure funds
  • Oversee multi-disciplinary teams delivering services across agency, valuation, investment, land, development advisory, and occupier consulting
  • Develop and execute business development initiatives, expanding the firm’s footprint within the mission-critical sector
  • Collaborate with capital markets, industrial, and alternative asset teams to unlock new opportunities
  • Represent the firm at industry events, panels, and with media to position the consultancy as a market leader
  • Drive innovation around data centre advisory – including sustainability, energy, land sourcing, and financial modelling
  • Provide strategic input to global leadership on sector trends, investment strategy, and client positioning
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop top talent within the data centre vertical

Key Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience within the data centre sector – ideally from a real estate, consultancy, advisory, or investment background
  • Deep understanding of data centre lifecycle: from land and planning to delivery, leasing, capital markets, and operations
  • Established network across hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and investor clients
  • Track record of building and leading high-performing teams across geographies and service lines
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to shape strategy and drive revenue growth
  • Exceptional client relationship, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
  • MRICS or equivalent preferred but not essential
  • Willingness to travel across UK and EMEA as needed
