Job Description

Are you an experienced Video Editor looking for a new challenge! Gillespie Recruitment is delighted to be supporting our client, a leading global art supplies brand as they add to their team. They have a mission to create the world’s largest artist community – A place that inspires, amplifies voices, nurtures talent, and creates lasting impact.

They have exciting plans for global expansion and are looking for a highly skilled Videographer to join their new in-house media team. You’ll be responsible for creating high quality video content for multiple channels, including website, Amazon and social media platforms. This role is pivotal in helping them to launch their online courses, showcase their products, support their marketing and sales initiatives and engage their global audience.

The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent storytelling skills and have experience in all aspects of video production, from concept development to final edit.

THE ROLE:

  • Conceptualise, plan and execute video projects from start to finish, including product demonstrations, promotional videos, online art courses, and organic and paid social media content
  • Collaborate with other members of the Creative team, including their Videographer, Photographer and Graphic Designer, to deliver cohesive and impactful visual content
  • Work with their in-house Artists to create online courses that captivate audiences
  • Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite eg. Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
  • Proficient in creating animation and motion graphics to enhance video content
  • Work closely with colleagues in the Marketing and Creative departments to develop and execute campaign concepts to support sales
  • Understanding of video and cinema cameras, lighting and audio equipment
  • Collaborate with Videographer to forecast editing timelines
  • Deliver a combination of long-form and short-form content

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Proven experience as a video editor with a strong diverse portfolio showcasing editing skills
  • Extensive knowledge of animation, colour manipulation, and sound design
  • Exceptional creative vision and ability to translate concepts into compelling visual content
  • Experience working across multiple projects with different departments
  • Ability to work to a brief, shot list or script
  • Experience handling and editing LOG footage in Adobe Premier Pro and an understanding of video encoding formats
  • Must keep up to date with the latest video trends across different social media platforms
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • An intelligent communicator
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate well with other team members
