airports, aircraft, and governments. Their technology powers more seamless, safe, and
sustainable air travel.
They are looking to hire an experienced Software Asset Manager on a contract for an
initial 6 months.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Software Asset Manager to oversee the lifecycle of
software assets across the organization.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining software compliance, optimizing
licensing costs, and managing vendor relationships to ensure alignment with business and
IT goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain an accurate inventory of all software assets using asset management
tools.
• Monitor software usage and ensure compliance with licensing agreements and
regulatory requirements.
• Lead software audits and respond to vendor inquiries or compliance reviews.
• Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to negotiate and manage software
contracts and renewals.
• Track software lifecycle from procurement to retirement and recommend cost-
effective upgrades or alternatives.
• Identify opportunities for license optimization, consolidation, or cost savings.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for effective software asset
management.
• Provide regular reporting and metrics on software usage, compliance status, and
vendor performance.
• Stay current with licensing trends, emerging technologies, and changes in
software licensing models (e.g., cloud vs. on-premise).
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business, or a related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in IT asset or software asset management.
• Strong understanding of software licensing models and compliance
requirements.
• Proficiency in software asset management tools and platforms (e.g., ServiceNow,
Flexera, Snow Software).
• Experience in vendor contract negotiation and lifecycle management.
• Certifications such as CSAM (Certified Software Asset Manager) or ITIL are a plus.
