We are now looking for a Research Fellow in the School of Engineering to join our research team. Research in Engineering at LJMU was judged to be 92% ‘world leading’ or ‘internationally excellent’ by Research Excellence Framework 2021, the national audit of university quality. Research outputs were rated 96% world-leading or internationally excellent and research impacts were rated 100% world-leading or internationally excellent.

We are seeking a highly motivated researcher with a PhD in a relevant engineering or technology discipline with a demonstrable track record in conducting high-quality research and generating impact.

You will facilitate the development of high-quality applications for research and knowledge exchange funding across a range of engineering disciplines and working with internal and external stakeholders and assisting in every stage of the process. Development of high-quality research in areas such as energy efficiency, digitalisation, renewable energy, sustainability and AI applications may be carried out depending on experience.

Excellent communication skills and diverse technical understanding will ensure that the post holder can work flexibly and support multiple projects simultaneously. Contributing to learning, teaching and the student experience through classroom-based activities and project supervision.
