The Role
As an Air Quality Consultant, your day-to-day tasks will vary, as we’ll expose you to all aspects of our work so you can discover what suits you. You could be:
- Working on live projects from day one – click here to view our exciting projects
- In a variety of sectors from healthcare to hotels
- Undertaking assessments to inform the design of our projects
- Using computer modelling software such as QGIS and ADMS
- Undertaking site surveys
- Researching ground-breaking technologies
- Engaging in continuous CPD and learning opportunities
- Being part of a small team, gaining exposure to a wide range of projects, and as your learning progresses, taking responsibility for elements of detailed design delivery, such as mitigation specifications, with increasing autonomy and support from our in-house specialists.
Communication will be key, as we regularly liaise with project teams, meet clients or end users, and attend collaborative meetings.
You will receive a dedicated mentor and supervisor, along with comprehensive training to support your development with us.
What We Are Looking For
- A postgraduate qualification in science, environmental sciences, technology, or engineering
- Qualification in environmental policy is preferable but not essential
- Basic knowledge of air quality monitoring techniques and strategies, with some experience of using air dispersion models, is advantageous at graduate level but not essential
- A master\’s or other relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage
- Previous placement or work experience in a similar industry is beneficial
- Understanding of CAD or similar modelling software is advantageous
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills
- Ability to work well both in a team and independently
