What the Job Involves

This role involves providing an assessment, support planning, and review service aligned with case allocation principles and guidance to safeguard and promote the wellbeing of vulnerable children and young people. Key responsibilities include person-centered care planning, offering information, advice, and signposting to families, and ensuring services are effectively utilized to promote independence. You will handle safeguarding actions as per statutory policies, collaborate with various organizations to deliver services, and support children’s aim to stay with or return to family. You will uphold professional standards and comply with social care guidelines. You will also take on complex cases, monitor case progress, adapt support plans for assessed outcomes, manage budgets effectively, and participate in team meetings. Maintaining accurate records, promoting family awareness of services, and building professional relationships with external agencies are critical components. Monitoring for unmet needs, ensuring compliance with confidentiality policies, and promoting health and safety standards are fundamental to this role. You will participate in an evolving job description tailored to continuously reflect the needs and strategic direction of the service. Protecting children and vulnerable adults is a core aspect of this position; any safeguarding concerns should be reported to MASH.
