Role Overview & Responsibilities
- Field sales selling liquid roofing systems for waterproofing or fully built up roofing systems, including waterproofing, insulation, roof lights, edge trims and VCL (vapour control layer)
- Majority of time gaining specifications with building surveyors, also architects, health authorities, education & major specifiers
- Small amount of time with specialist quality waterproofing & roofing sub contractors to ensure projects are won effectively and completed professionally to client satisfaction
- Year one target threshold £300,000+; target £1.3m
- Maximise profit through proper price & discount management
- Refurbishment focused
- Project sizes 200m2-4,000m2 (typical £30-£40 per m2 for waterproofing systems, £70-£80 per m2 for full built up roofing systems)
- Clients: local authorities, retailers, manufacturers, large residential projects
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Specification field sales experience with building surveyors
- Ability to write specifications & conduct CPD seminars
- Open to various product backgrounds: concrete repairs, flooring, waterproofing and roofing systems
- Specific knowledge of liquid applied/flat roofing, waterproofing, insulation, roof lights, edge trims, VCL not essential
- Existing customer contacts with building surveyors & architects
- Technical capability
- Intelligent, empathetic, driven
