Right now, we have a fantastic opportunity available – Site Financial Controller within the Finance team partnering with our Tadcaster Brewery.
About the role

The Finance Business Partner is the finance leader at the Tadcaster Brewery, maintaining a strong governance structure whilst supporting the Brewery Director and site leadership team to deliver the site objectives. This support will vary from monthly performance management to all aspects of forward financial planning to business case construction for major strategic capex projects. Being part of the site leadership team and acting as the right hand to the Brewery Director, this is an exciting and influential role.
Getting close to the operational team and spending time on the shop floor will be critical to success in this role. Building those relationships and understanding the important work that the team at our brewery do will reflect well in your ability to do your job successfully.

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain Finance, this is a finance leadership role with a fair amount of autonomy. You’ll gain exposure to varied stakeholders and manage change in a fast-moving environment. Financial leadership skills and operational knowledge gained will be beneficial when moving into other HUK senior finance roles. You’ll also be part of a wider finance network, based at our head office in Edinburgh, London office and our other breweries, Tadcaster and Hereford. Despite working in different buildings, these colleagues are great at offering support.

Who we’re looking for
For this role, we’re looking for a technically strong and analytically minded finance professional. You’ll have the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders both regionally and locally across operations and finance. Ideally, we’d like someone with site financial control experience, or has worked in a business partnering role in the past.

If you have:

  • Experience in cost control, financial governance and driving performance to hit KPI’s
  • Have an FMCG or large multi-national background
  • Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills
  • Manufacturing site finance controller experience (ideal but not essential)

Then this could be the role for you!

Our Benefits
As part of the team, along with your salary, you’ll also receive:

  • an annual bonus
  • Company funded Private Medical Healthcare
  • double matched pension (up to 10%)
  • 35 days holiday
  • A monthly case of our delicious ciders and beers! (low and no alcohol options available)

You’ll also get the opportunity to get involved with one of our colleague networks where groups of colleagues from all over the business work together to ensure we’re always working towards being a diverse and inclusive company.
