Overview:
We are supporting a client within a leading consulting business to appoint an experienced Interim Manager to work on IFRS 17-related investment accounting and reporting projects for insurance clients. This role will involve both live client delivery and contributing to business development activity across the firm’s growing IFRS 17 advisory offering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver investment accounting and reporting workstreams as part of IFRS 17 programmes for insurance clients
- Support IFRS 17 financial impact assessments, operational gap analyses and implementation roadmaps
- Provide technical accounting expertise on IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 in relation to insurance investment accounting
- Prepare and review financial statements, disclosures and management reporting packs
- Liaise with finance transformation and systems implementation teams, supporting integration with IFRS 17 vendor solutions (e.g. Moody’s, Legerity, Aptitude, SAS, SAP)
- Contribute to proposal development and pre-sales activity for prospective IFRS 17 projects
- Work collaboratively with client stakeholders and internal consulting teams to deliver high quality outcomes
Candidate Profile:
- Strong technical accounting background, with hands-on experience in insurance investment accounting
- Proven track record of delivering projects under IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 frameworks
- Prior experience in a Manager or equivalent role within a consulting firm, insurance business or accounting practice
- Familiarity with IFRS 17 systems and vendor platforms (e.g. Moody’s, Legerity, Aptitude, SAS, SAP) is highly desirable
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work in fast-paced, project-based environments
