Job Description
To drive commercial performance through in-depth analysis of key retail KPIs, robust financial planning, and close collaboration with business teams to enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Results β Driving Commercial Performance
- Conduct comprehensive OMNI analysis of sales, conversion, traffic, pricing, discount rates, returns and other commercial KPIs
- Deliver clear, actionable insights to improve trading outcomes and support business growth.
- Monitor and report on performance against budget, forecast, and historical benchmarks.
- Support category and channel profitability assessments to guide product, pricing, and promotional decisions.
- Manage and improve the budgeting and reforecasting process for commercial functions, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Approach β Data-Led, Forward-Thinking Financial Control
- Build and maintain financial models, dashboards, and reports that track commercial KPIs in real time.
- Implement process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy, automation, and accessibility.
- Support strategic initiatives with scenario modelling and financial impact analysis.
- Use advanced Excel, BI tools and ERP systems to derive insights from complex data sets.
- Lead on developing standard reporting frameworks that provide clear visibility into business performance.
Teamwork β Partnering for Success
- Act as a trusted business partner to Buying, Merchandising, E-commerce, and Operations teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support commercial decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Contribute financial expertise to cross-departmental projects including product launches, channel strategy, and promotional planning.
- Present financial insights to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and actionable way.
