Supply Chain Operations Manager – Pharmaceuticals
Location: Hybrid – 2 days per week in Heathrow or the Netherlands (Southwest of Amsterdam)
Salary: £80,000 – £100,000 (flexible based on experience)

Specialising in critical care products, the company is committed to ensuring the smooth and efficient supply of life-saving medicines to global markets. Role Overview
The Supply Chain Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the end-to-end supply chain process, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and optimal product availability. Working as part of a team of seven European supply chain experts and reporting to the Supply Chain Director , the successful candidate will drive supply chain improvements and contribute to strategic initiatives. The role includes managing one direct report based in the Netherlands and requires a strong ability to self-manage in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and optimise end-to-end supply chain operations across the European market.
- Manage demand and supply planning, ensuring seamless coordination with suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics partners.
- Identify and resolve supply chain bottlenecks to enhance operational efficiency and revenue generation.
- Drive forecasting, inventory management, and logistics to ensure timely product availability.
- Work closely with internal teams, including Sales, External Supply, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, and Purchasing, to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
- Oversee compliance with industry regulations, including narcotic licensing (experience in this area is beneficial but not essential).
- Support CMO problem resolution and supply chain projects such as re-labelling initiatives and supplier identification.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to direct reports while fostering cross-functional collaboration.
Key Requirements
- Proven end-to-end supply chain experience within the pharmaceutical industry (essential).
- Strong understanding of demand planning, supply planning, and logistics in a regulated environment.
- Experience managing pharmaceutical supply chains in European markets.
- Familiarity with SAP, MRP, and inventory control systems.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights from complex data sets.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of narcotic licensing (advantageous but not mandatory).
- A degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field (MBA or graduate-level supply chain qualifications preferred).
