We’re seeking a Group Social Value Lead to drive social impact and community well-being at Sureserve.

The Group Social Value Lead will support the Head of ESG in delivering Sureserve’s ESG strategy, driving social impact, community well-being, and support for disadvantaged residents.

They will develop, implement, and manage Social Value projects, secure funding and partnerships, and embed social value into business operations. The ideal candidate is collaborative, proactive, and target-driven, with strong stakeholder engagement and project management skills to deliver measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop & implement social value strategies across diverse projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to embed social value into project planning and execution.
  • Define and measure social impact goals in alignment with the Social Value Act, ESG principles, and industry best practices.
  • Lead initiatives that drive employment opportunities, skills development, and community engagement.
  • Secure funding, sponsorships, and resources to support long-term social impact programs.
  • Represent Sureserve externally, forging partnerships with key industry bodies, local authorities, and community organisations.
  • Monitor and report on social value outcomes using recognised impact measurement methodologies.
  • Support and contribute to the work of the Sureserve Foundation charity, including promoting its initiatives, engaging communities, and aligning charitable activities with the Group’s broader social value strategy.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven expertise in social value, ESG, and community engagement.
  • Experience in measuring and reporting sustainability and social impact.
  • Strong understanding of social value frameworks, policies, and impact measurement.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and government bodies.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to champion social value at all levels.
  • A track record of embedding social value into large-scale projects and delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Experience in E & G calculations (environment and governance) – Desirable
