Role Overview

This is a 100% new business sales role focused on building strong relationships with decision-makers in Retail, Hospitality, and F&B segments, particularly merchants with strong international footfall. The goal is to secure new customers for our core products and services (Gateway, Acquiring, DCC, Tax Free). The successful candidate will work closely with the Sales Director, Key and Global Account Managers, Sales Support, Marketing, Product, Operations, Legal, GTM, and other teams to sell solutions and ensure high customer satisfaction.

What you will do

  • Lead the review and segmentation of opportunities in Retail, Hospitality, and F&B sectors, and build commercial business cases to support investments.
  • Develop an annual Sales Development plan and nurture a pipeline of opportunities.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Maximize revenue opportunities and ensure profitability.
  • Manage customer relationships until handover to an Account Manager.
  • Respond professionally and promptly to customer/partner queries.
  • Collaborate with supporting departments to resolve issues satisfactorily.
  • Complete sales documentation, including quotations, proposals, and tenders.
  • Create and deliver new business presentations to customers.
  • Keep CRM system updated with actions, customer, and opportunity information according to KPIs.
  • Provide timely and accurate information to managers and internal departments.
  • Contribute to the broader sales team by sharing ideas to achieve objectives.
  • Promote the company professionally and effectively.
  • Perform any additional duties deemed necessary by management to benefit the company and customers.

Who you are

  • Proven experience in B2B new business sales, preferably within retail, hospitality, F&B merchant acquiring, or related industries.
  • Experience selling to operations, IT, or finance stakeholders, with understanding of retail, hospitality, and F&B technology.
  • Strong knowledge of current sales techniques and developing sales pipelines and plans.
  • Track record of managing and delivering on new business targets.
  • Knowledge of the UK retail, hospitality, and F&B industries or related IT solutions is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Card Acquiring, DCC, payment solutions, Tax Free, EPOS systems, and e-commerce dynamics is a plus.
  • Understanding of card scheme pricing models and experience negotiating merchant acquiring agreements.
  • Knowledge of card scheme rules affecting merchant acquiring services.
  • Excellent interpersonal, networking, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and sales preparation skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce or similar) and office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience working within a complex international matrix organization.
