At Believ, formerly known as Liberty Charge, we believe sustainable transport should be accessible to everyone. We’re a Charge Point Operator (CPO) on a mission to create the UK’s most reliable electric vehicle charging network that doesn’t cost the earth and leaves no one behind..

We work closely with local authorities and businesses to deliver reliable, high quality charging networks at pace, at scale and at zero cost.

We offer all the advantages of being a scale-up business, but with the added security and long-term backing from well-known parents – Liberty Global (who also own our delivery partner, Virgin Media O2) and Zouk Capital (who manage the Government’s Charging Investment Infrastructure Fund).

You’ll be joining this exciting journey at the start of our scale-up phase, and work with us to hit the ambitious targets our shareholders have set. You’ll become part of a passionate and supportive team in a fast-paced, dynamic and result-driven environment.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the Head of Assessment & Design, this role is ideal for a qualified electrician with solid experience in EV charging infrastructure. You\’ll be responsible for overseeing the technical delivery of our EV installations — making sure they’re designed, installed, and commissioned to high standards, on time and on budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end technical delivery of EV charging sites — from design through to installation and commissioning.
  • Flag risks and delivery issues to the Leadership Team that could impact timelines or quality.
  • Build strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and local authorities to keep projects moving smoothly.
  • Provide technical support and be the go-to person for the wider team on EV installation standards.
  • Advise on product selection and system compatibility to align with Believ’s network and standards.
  • Provide accurate, timely updates to the PMO team and submit regular performance and delivery reports.
  • Monitor health & safety compliance on-site, ensuring all activity meets HSE standards and internal policies.
  • Work collaboratively with design, planning, and delivery teams to keep all aspects of the project aligned.
  • Act as technical support to the COO and senior leadership team as needed.

About You
We’re looking for a hands-on technical leader who has practical experience in the EV charging sector. You\’ll need to be comfortable working at pace, with multiple stakeholders, and across complex infrastructure projects.

  • Previous experience as a Technical Manager (or similar), ideally in a fast-paced infrastructure or energy business
  • Experience delivering EV charging infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of HV/LV installations and relevant IET Code of Practice
  • Comfortable managing DNO connections and working in public highways environments
  • Skilled in software tools like AutoCAD and Amtech/Trimble, plus confident doing manual calculations
  • Familiar with project reporting, supply chain management and delivery tracking
  • Able to provide electrical sign-off and ideally act as a NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor
  • Up-to-date knowledge of BS7671 and 18th Edition regulations

Qualifications

  • SSSTS/SMSTS (ideally)
  • Higher-level electrical/electronic engineering qualification (preferred)
  • Full UK driving licence

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and bonus scheme
  • 25 days’ annual leave, plus the usual 8 UK Bank Holidays and the option to purchase up to 5 additional days per year*

  • Pension contribution matched up to 10%
  • Access to our car benefit scheme and cycle to work scheme
  • Access to our online learning platform to continue to develop and grow your career with us.
  • 24 hours a year Volunteer Time Off to support causes that are important to you
  • Virgin Media / O2 discounts and offers
