We are looking to hire a Principal Electronics and Hardware Engineer responsible for electrical and electronic design of new products and modifications of existing products across different lines.

You will add impact at Ovarro by:

  • Handling maintenance tasks such as managing obsolescence, component updates, certification, and schematic modifications to ensure product reliability and compliance.
  • Leading end-to-end hardware development, including electronics design from concept to production, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulations.
  • Performing detailed circuit design, analysis, and optimization of analog, digital, and mixed-signal systems.
  • Managing test rigs, test benches, and equipment, maintaining documentation, and providing technical support and maintenance.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to colleagues while remaining involved in technical tasks.
  • Fostering collaboration with software, firmware, mechanical engineers, and contractors for seamless hardware integration.
  • Leading design reviews, validation, and verification tests to ensure high-quality product performance.
  • Overseeing PCB layout activities, ensuring best practices in prototyping, debugging, and validation.
  • Evaluating and selecting suitable technologies and components based on analysis and testing.

Candidates should have:

  • Experience managing a multidisciplinary engineering team.
  • Design experience with microprocessor and microcontroller circuitry.
  • Experience designing battery-powered devices.
  • Knowledge of low-noise analog and digital circuitry.
  • Experience with electronic schematic capture and layout.
  • Mechanical, product, or packaging design experience is a plus.
  • Ability to provide mentorship and guidance while actively engaging in engineering tasks.
