Reporting to the Director of Retail Development, the Senior Client Development Account Director role is key to delivering growth of our supplier business within our grocery client. The role\’s key focus is building relationships with the retailer\’s commercial teams and growing instore experience revenues from their suppliers. The successful applicant will have industry leading knowledge in the grocery sector with a deep understanding of this sector\’s audience behaviours and how to engage these audiences within retail.

Essential Accountabilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive grocery instore experience sales strategies to engage the retailer\’s suppliers. Considering trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with all the retailer brands and growing their instore retail experiences, serving as the primary point of contact for all retail account-related matters. Understand the brands business objectives, products, and market trends to identify growth opportunities for N2O
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with the retailers existing suppliers to grow sales. Collaborating with cross-functional internal Retailer & N2O teams, such as category management or the creative studio
- Continuously nurture and strengthen relationships with brands through regular communication, meetings, and joint business planning. Act as a trusted advisor and advocate for suppliers, ensuring their needs are met while driving mutual growth and success for N2O
- Lead and manage a selection of N2O grocery key accounts and support team members to ensure a high level of performance and client satisfaction.
- Agree and deliver both short-and medium-term financial account plans and forecasts, demonstrating commercial acumen in driving the longer-term strategy that anticipates the future needs of the client
Requirements
- Extensive experience in grocery sector, with a deep understanding of industry trends, product categories, and consumer behaviour
- Acute commercial acumen demonstrated in similar roles. Ability to analyse opportunities, challenges and be a driving force to drive commercial impact and sales performance
- A results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding grocery sales goals. A track record for driving the sales process, land and expand, from plan to close
- Experience of managing clients and key stakeholders at a mid to senior level, with fantastic communication skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues, clients, and grocery brand representatives. Work collaboratively across internal teams – including Campaign Management, Creative and Marketing
- The ability to create detailed and informative presentations, using insights as the main element to enable the client to make key decisions quickly
- Good financial acumen with the ability to prepare and control budgets
- Proven experience of motivating others to drive best-in-class execution of KPIs and influence decision-makers
