The Principal Scientist I drives strategic scientific growth by leading value creation initiatives, mentoring staff, and advancing in-house capabilities, while supporting business development through expert input on proposals, client engagement, and scientific oversight. This role champions scientific excellence and enhances the company’s reputation through high-impact studies, publications, and industry involvement.

Main areas of responsibility:

  • Support business development by contributing to scientific proposals, client discussions, and relationship management.
  • Drive strategic scientific growth by identifying industry needs, overseeing Value Creation Projects (VCPs), and advancing in-house capabilities.
  • Lead scientific training, mentor staff, and delegate responsibilities to support leadership development.
  • Provide expert scientific oversight, including acting as SME and performing Responsible Scientist/APM duties when needed.
  • Promote scientific excellence and enhance the company’s industry reputation through high-quality studies, publications, workshops, and engagement.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • PhD in a relevant field and/or 5–8 years of industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of ligand binding assays (e.g., immunoassays) and regulatory bioanalytical methods (FDA/EMA/ICH).
  • Proven project leadership with excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal, presentation, and team leadership abilities.
  • Accurate record-keeping and documentation skills in English.
