Enterprise Architect at Tesco

As an Enterprise Architect at Tesco, you lead the formulation, development, and alignment of new and existing technology with the Tesco Business Strategy to deliver a simpler, flexible, and sustainable architecture. You define, communicate, and govern the enterprise architecture for Tesco by creating standards and guidance for technology programs and solutions to ensure they enable and support the Tesco Business Strategy.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Fostering understanding of the current technology landscape and its impact on stakeholders, including creating models and materials that describe the landscape and aid decision-making.
  2. Evolving and embedding the technology strategy across Tesco Technology\’s functions, partnering with engineering and product leadership to define target enterprise architecture, and identifying organizational requirements for resources, structures, and cultural changes.
  3. Guiding high-level delivery planning and solution design to meet strategic goals, collaborating with teams to design flexible, efficient, and secure solutions, and operating architecture governance processes.
  4. Supporting successful delivery through the technology lifecycle, providing targeted support for initiatives with technical challenges.
  5. Building architecture capability within Tesco, creating an engaging community on architecture topics, and fostering relationships across business units and partners.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Proven record of technology delivery at Tesco scale.
  • Experience in using enterprise architecture to shape strategic priorities.
  • Solution architecture experience on major programs.
  • Experience in creating, communicating, and embedding technology strategy.
  • Hands-on engineering experience and leading solution architecture governance.
