We have an exciting opportunity for a Claims Philosophy Developer to join the Protection Proposition Design Team at Royal London. The role holder will be responsible for developing and improving our claims philosophy and practices in line with Royal London’s business and propositional goals.
About the role
- Lead the delivery of improvements to claims philosophy from design to implementation
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal and external stakeholders
- Support senior leaders in implementing and embedding the Risk Management System
- Establish, develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholder e.g. reinsurers, proposition team, Group Customer Services
- Ensure key business risks are fully understood, controlled and mitigated on the team to ensure local plans are delivered and we meet our regulatory requirements
- Use data to understand trends and inform change
About you
- Expert in Life, CI and disability claims assessment and management
- A detailed knowledge of Risk Management practices and control mechanisms
- Experience of philosophy and/or proposition development
- A sound understanding of legal and regulatory matters that affect claims and underwriting
- An ability to use data to inform and support philosophy developments
- Good planning, co-ordination, and organisation skills
- Ability to listen, communicate, challenge and influence team members, immediate peer group and senior business management
- Relationship and stakeholder management skills
