You’ll be reporting to our Head of Legal while working alongside colleagues at all levels. You’ll be managing services delivered by external solicitors and form a key member of virtual teams, to ensure the delivery of supplier services to Tesco Insurance and Money Services and our customers.
What you’ll be doing

- Offering support and advice on retail insurance products, their development, customer journeys and product terms and conditions
- Negotiating and advising upon third party service, introducer, consultancy, data and software contracts
- Advising on general commercial and regulatory legal queries
We need you to have
- Demonstrable experience as a qualified solicitor (with a valid practising certificate in a UK jurisdiction).
- Experience of strong relationship management (both internal and external stakeholders).
- Significant commercial contract legal experience either in-house or in private practice.
- A track record of delivering pragmatic, risk-based legal advice.
And if you have any of these, even better
- Experience in the insurance or financial services sectors.
- Experience of advising on retail insurance products, consumer credit matters and regulation.
- We don’t expect you to tick every box, and if you feel you hit most of the brief, it’s worth exploring to further develop your career here with us.

- Private Medical Insurance (WL2+) for you and virtual GP Service for you and your family 365 days a year.
- Performance related annual bonus.
- Indulge in a generous holiday allowance with a minimum of 7.2 weeks, with the opportunity to buy more.
- Embrace the benefits of our Colleague Clubcard, enjoy a 10% discount that increase to 15% every payday. As an added perk, we’ll give you a second card to share with someone else.
- Benefit from our family-oriented initiatives, encompassing enhanced maternity leave pay, a shared parental leave policy, and a generous 8-week paid paternity leave.
- A place to get on – take advantage of our ongoing learning opportunities and award-winning training, to help you achieve the job and career you want.
- Take part in our Buy as you Earn and Save as you Earn share schemes.
