We are seeking a commercially driven and strategic Head of Partnerships to spearhead the development and execution of partnership initiatives that drive subscriber growth and increase brand visibility for Mail+. This is a pivotal role that requires a proactive leader with a strong network, a sharp sales instinct, and a track record of delivering successful partnership deals.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and Execute Partnership Strategy: Identify, evaluate, and secure new B2B and B2B2C partnership opportunities across a variety of sectors (media, retail, telecoms, technology, travel, etc.) to expand Mail+ distribution and subscriber base.
- Sales and Business Development: Pitch and sell the Mail+ proposition to other companies and platforms (e.g. aggregators, bundling partners, enterprise clients).
- Brand Growth: Identify strategic partnerships that enhance the Mail+ brand, expand its audience, and generate incremental revenue.
- Account Management: Build and manage strong relationships with external partners, ensuring performance metrics and commercial goals are achieved.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with marketing, product, editorial, legal and tech teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of partnership projects.
- Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of digital media trends, emerging platforms and competitor activity to identify new growth opportunities.
- Commercial Modelling: Build and negotiate commercial models and partnership agreements to deliver ROI-positive results.
Person Specification
- Proven experience (5+ years) in partnerships, business development or commercial sales, ideally within media, publishing, digital subscriptions, or a fast-paced digital business.)
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of structuring and negotiating successful deals.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify new market opportunities and turn them into actionable plans.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills — confident engaging at all levels, including C-suite.
- Strong analytical skills to assess the performance and impact of partnerships.
- Self-starter with high energy and ambition to drive Mail+ to new heights.
