Santander Consumer Finance is one of the UK\’s Leading Motor Finance companies and we are currently looking for a Senior Culture and Development Partner.
Responsibilities will include:
We have a great opportunity for a team lead to join our evolving People & Culture team for a 9 month FTC maternity cover. The role forms an essential pillar of our function, reporting to the Head of People & Culture.
This role has four key areas of responsibility: Culture, DEI, Wellbeing and Learning & Talent Development and will line manage a small team of Learning Partners and a Culture & MI Partner.
The purpose of the role is to enable the delivery of the P&C Strategy and Culture Transformation Strategy to ensure these are executed effectively with the business. The embedding of data, measurement and analysis are key priorities.
Please note this role is a hybrid role with at least 3 days a week in the Redhill office. Remote workers will not be considered.
The role will be a thought leader delivering:
- the cultural transformation agenda, encompassing behavioural change interventions and continually assessing, monitoring and reporting on SCUK\’s cultural health
- core training and development requirements in SCUK across all levels (including leadership development)
- the enterprise-wide DEI plan, and organisational DEI health
- the employee engagement agenda, tools, measurement and reporting
- Leading the team to deliver the required training and have a flexible approach to business needs
- Monitoring ongoing training requirements around vulnerable customers and collections and scheduling training appropriately
- Understanding the operation and providing training solutions where applicable
- Working with the wider team and business to ensure all training is delivered to SLA
- Governance of mandatory training and escalating where necessary
- Attending and contributing to Group meetings and reporting back to the team on wider decisions where appropriate
What we\’re looking for:
- A background in HR / L&D / Talent / Org Development, whether as an SME or a combination of these skills
- Previous experience in leading a high performing team to challenge the status quo
- Demonstrable experience in a change environment specifically around culture and DEI
- Previous experience in influencing at all levels including ExCo
- Excellent presentation skills and the ability to tell a story to all stakeholders
- Ability to understand a global business and adapt to the local market
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal, and able to influence strategic direction
- A strong people manager with a desire to develop a team and create high performance and high professionalism
- Previous experience in a regulated environment and the challenges that training can bring
- Experience in budget management and managing business expectations on training availability
- Strong self-motivation, drive and passion for the subject/s
- Track record in continuous improvement delivery
