Are you passionate about solving real business problems and working with bespoke, business-critical applications? We are recruiting on behalf of a niche player in the insurance sector who are seeking an Application Support Analyst to join their IT team. This is a hands-on role where your input will directly influence the evolution of their systems and processes.
What you’ll do:
As an Application Support Analyst, you’ll be the go-to person for day-to-day support while also shaping how applications evolve. Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing first- and second-line support for bespoke applications
* Logging, triaging, and resolving support tickets
* Analysing issues across applications, data, and workflows
* Producing clear, structured development tickets and functional specifications
* Collaborating with business users, developers, and external partners
* Supporting UAT testing and post-release validation
* Contributing to continuous improvement of systems and processes
What our client is looking for:
Essential:
* Experience in application support, systems analysis, or similar roles
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Experience supporting bespoke or custom-built applications
* Ability to write clear, structured tickets and specifications
* Confident communicator with technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a live support environment
Desirable:
* Salesforce experience (support, processes, or integrations)
* Insurance sector experience (underwriting, claims, or policy administration)
* Familiarity with ticketing tools and databases
* Experience with external developers or Agile environments
Personal attributes:
* Detail-oriented and methodical

* Salary of £35,000 – £45,000
* Monday–Friday 9am-5pm
