Job Description
We are working with Swindon Borough Council who are seeking a Property Transformation Manager as part of our Council’s ambitious transformation programme, they are committed to improving the accessibility and quality of resident and community engagement. They are seeking a driven Project Manager to lead the development of a new town centre hub, enhancing resident-facing services and supporting our wider Workplace and Resident Access strategy.
Location: Swindon Borough Council
Set-up: Mainly office based
Rate: £650/day via umbrella inside IR35
Duration: Initially6-months
Hours: Full-time position
Responsibilities include:
- Lead on developing and delivering a detailed proposal for a new town centre hub at Wat Tyler House East and West, working with directors and heads of service
- Create and manage comprehensive project delivery plans, including stakeholder mapping, timelines, milestones, and governance arrangements
- Identify service requirements, including space and technology needs, ensuring efficient and effective service provision
- Collaborate with internal teams, partner agencies, and the Head of Construction to design and configure the hub to meet service needs
- Monitor project progress, prepare governance reports, and communicate recommendations to senior stakeholders and partners
Requirements:
- Significant experience in senior project management roles delivering complex business transformation projects within large organisations
- PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner qualification (or equivalent substantial work-related experience)
- Proven ability to negotiate and influence at all levels, building strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience in developing creative solutions and driving improvements through innovation and resident-focused design
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a track record of producing clear reports and presentations for senior audiences
