Position Purpose
To lead CBRE\’s sourcing of Facility Management Services on behalf of our client in the EMEA region, encompassing IFM, PjM and Engineering service lines; ensuring operational consistency and continuous improvement across all EMEA facilities. This will entail leading a centralized team of sourcing professionals responsible for strategic and tactical sourcing activities across the client\’s EMEA portfolio of ~1.3 million sq ft throughout 18 countries; and require the engagement of key personnel on the CBRE account team, the Client team and CBRE\’s platform to deliver measurably superior outcomes to the client and ensure that CBRE\’s interests are represented.
Key Responsibilities
- Internal & External Stakeholders
- Set up and drive operations of the account\’s EMEA sourcing team that will deliver measurably superior outcomes to the client and has the client at the centre of all processes and activities.
- Work with internal stakeholders to deliver a compelling value proposition that differentiates CBRE in the marketplace.
- Lead the Sourcing function to consistently deliver on EMEA supply chain objectives.
- Define and lead the tracking of key operational sourcing metrics, KPIs, and targets.
- Establish and lead the delivery of mutually agreed operational SLAs with internal stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain regular, high quality contact with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with sourcing counterparts in the U.S., APAC and LATAM regions to align on global standards and ensure consistent service delivery.
- Lead client communication strategies, including regular performance reporting, strategic updates, and executive briefings.
- Drive proactive issue resolution, ensuring client concerns are addressed promptly and effectively.
- Coordinate with other regional leads on quarterly business reviews with client, highlighting achievements, addressing challenges, and aligning on future initiatives.
Leadership
- Structure, and lead a disparate, high performing, professional EMEA sourcing team.
- Deliver regional subject matter expertise in sourcing operations, processes and systems.
- Be a visible champion to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to act independently and make final decisions on administrative or operational issues related to the function.
- Collaborate with CBRE\’s platform leadership to ensure that the operating model and value creation imperatives are supported by CBRE\’s platform.
- Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with CBRE\’s values.
- Drive collaboration with CBRE\’s platform to ensure a smooth transition of new capabilities.
- Actively participate in global leadership forums to share EMEA best practices and adapt successful strategies from other regions.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular engagement and responsive communication.
- Lead cross-regional initiatives to standardize processes and create cohesive global solutions.
People
- Recruit and retain skilled and competent Sourcing professionals to fill and deliver on key operational objectives.
- Actively promote and foster a culture of \’one supply chain team\’ across the global sourcing network.
- Provide formal supervision to direct reports.
- Approves subordinate\’s recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval.
- Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labour.
- Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff.
- Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies.
- Lead creation and dissemination of training on sourcing processes and tools to raise overall awareness and understanding.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing between EMEA team and other regional teams.
Processes
- Lead the ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement of standardised processes that are transferable across all EMEA lines of business and geographies.
- Collaborate with CBRE\’s platform to achieve the delivery of a \”one team\” approach towards cost savings.
- Lead the operational approach to supplier on-boarding and vendor management routines including deployment of appropriate tools.
- Ensure compliance to defined processes and procedures.
- Create and implement processes, policies and supporting documentation for soliciting services in accordance with accepted industry practices and stakeholder requirements.
- Work closely with global counterparts to harmonize processes where appropriate while respecting regional nuances.
- Develop client-specific service delivery models that meet or exceed expectations.
- Implement robust feedback mechanisms to continuously improve client service quality.
Change Management
- Define the operational value proposition of the account\’s EMEA Sourcing function so that it aligns with the requirements of stakeholders.
- Drive engagement in a heavily matrixed organization whilst bringing along key stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver a change management strategy including specific activities that are aligned to the account\’s objectives.
- Develop plans to mitigate potential business risks and anticipated points of resistance while continuing to adapt to regional and country specifics
- Coordinate with global teams when implementing changes that may impact cross-regional operations.
Technology
- Drive continuous improvement in the deployment and use of technology in support of a world class supply chain.
- Ensure the systems in support of Sourcing are operational, utilized and leveraged across the account (e.g. eSourcing, Contract Management, eProcurement, etc.)
- Lead systems integration with enterprise/regional/local teams as well as suppliers.
- Collaborate with global counterparts to maintain alignment on technology platforms and utilization.
Client Care
- Serve as the primary client relationship manager for sourcing initiatives within EMEA.
- Develop and deliver customized reporting packages that demonstrate value creation and performance metrics.
- Lead regular client stakeholder meetings to review performance, discuss upcoming initiatives, and address concerns.
- Establish escalation protocols for client issues and lead resolution efforts.
- Create and maintain a client communication plan that ensures transparency and builds trust.
- Proactively identify client needs and develop innovative solutions to address them.
- Conduct annual client satisfaction surveys and implement improvement actions based on feedback.
Key Requirements
- Strong Leadership Skills.
- Bachelor\’s Degree required
- Membership of professional procurement body.
- Ten or more years\’ experience in the procurement of indirect services with at least five years\’ experience in facilities management.
- Ten or more years\’ experience of managing delivering sourcing services in multiple jurisdictions and demonstrated understanding of unique cultural and business norms in various countries
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with multiple internal stakeholders in a decentralized environment.
- Ability to coach others and develop a relationship of trust and credibility.
- Knowledge of facilities accounting procedures.
- Experience managing and working with e-procurement platforms.
- Proficiency with core software applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project etc.).
- Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service.
- Strong written and presentation communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
