Job Description

Driver (part-time)

Location: Malvern
Contract Type: Part-time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6 pm to 7.30 pm (term time)

Closing Date: Wednesday 16 July 2025

Our client is looking to appoint a part-time driver to start on 2nd September 2025. The hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 6 pm to 7.30 pm (term time). There will also be the opportunity for additional driving for out of school activities.

About the Role

Driving the College minibuses in a safe and legal manner to ensure the safe transportation of College pupils.

About You

They are looking for a part-time driver who will have:

• Full clean driving licence with D1 category or separate minibus licence
• Ability to learn the route and the pick up/drop off points easily
• As an ambassador to the College, you will be of smart appearance with a welcoming disposition
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Commitment to ensuring the safeguarding of children

This post involves significant contact with children and the post holder will be responsible for children. The post holder will be considered to be in a regulated activity.

Candidates must be prepared to undergo child protection screening and an Enhanced DBS check.

You will be required to provide proof of your identity, right to work in the UK and qualifications during the selection process. They will seek references on short-listed candidates that will include questions about past disciplinary actions or allegations in relation to behaviour with children and may approach previous employers for information to verify particular experience or qualifications before interview. An online search will also be carried out as part of due diligence on all short-listed candidates.
