You will have the opportunity to grow and develop within the role, making it an ideal position for someone looking to gain hands-on experience supporting a busy and dynamic trading desk within a wider legal group: – Assist in the development, negotiation and management of LNG trading and shipping documentation – Support all legal aspects of the LNG trading desk, including drafting and negotiating NDAs, PCGs, LCs and other corporate and commercial documents – Work closely with the senior LNG lawyer and the LNG trading desk – Provide ad hoc support to other product areas as required – Liaise directly with traders, internal control functions (credit, compliance etc) and trading counterparties. Your profile – Solicitor qualified in England and Wales with 1-5 years PQE in a leading law firm or in-house commercial legal experience in an energy company – Experience negotiating and drafting LNG transaction documents and LNG time charter agreements; other energy commodities/dry bulk chartering experience will be considered – Pragmatic approach, able to multi-task, think on your feet and find risk-managed solutions to legal challenges – Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, comfortable dealing directly with traders and internal functions or willing to develop these skills.
