Our Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Engineer/Scientist to join our in our London, UK office. In this role you will work as part of a team to conduct hands-on engineering and safety consulting, failure analysis, scientific investigations, field inspections, laboratory testing, as well as working with clients to understand product compliance and quality. Your long-term goal will be to develop business and bring new clients to the firm.

You will be responsible for

  • Conducting hands-on failure analysis and investigations
  • Planning and executing laboratory tests, conducting mathematical modelling of physical systems and statistical analysis of data
  • Conducting field inspections and audits of manufacturers and suppliers
  • Working with clients to help solve engineering, scientific and safety problems in multiple sectors
  • Communicating effectively with other engineers, technicians, managers, clients, and administrative staff
  • You will have the following skills and qualifications

  • . in Physics, Materials Science and Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Natural Sciences, or related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work within project teams with a strong desire to contribute
  • Strong mathematical and experimental testing competency
  • A knowledge of electronics and battery technologies
  • Experience of laboratory analysis methods (SEM, CT, X-ray, TEM, EDS, FTIR)
  • Capability to use finite-element modelling would be beneficial (. COMSOL, Ansys)
  • Statistics and / or signal processing knowledge would be beneficial
  • A working knowledge of product standards and regulations associated with product quality, safety and reliability would be beneficial
  • High level coding skills in Python / R / Matlab would be beneficial
