Chartered Building Surveyor
We’re working with a growing and ambitious firm of building surveyors who are looking to bring in a qualified and experienced MRICS Building Surveyor to join their London office.
About the Role:
You’ll be joining a busy, well-regarded practice offering a wide range of residential and commercial surveying services. This is a hands-on professional surveying role with scope for leadership and business development.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Carrying out Defect Analysis Reports (Deplaps) and advising clients on necessary remedial works
- Conducting Homebuyer Reports, Building Surveys, and Schedule of Condition reports
- Advising clients on building pathology, maintenance issues, and statutory compliance
- Managing and delivering your own workload from instruction to completion
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and external consultants
- Supporting junior surveyors (with the option to take on a team lead function if of interest)
- Bringing in new work and nurturing existing client relationships
Requirements:
- MRICS qualified, with a minimum of 2 years post-qualified experience
- Experience delivering core professional surveying work across residential and commercial sectors
- Background in building surveying consultancies – ideally from small to mid-sized firms
- Proactive, self-motivated and entrepreneurial – someone who sees the opportunity to build something
- Strong written communication, client care, and reporting skills
- Happy working independently as well as part of a close-knit team
Salary & Benefits:
- Base salary: £65,000 – £75,000, depending on experience
- Performance-related bonus structure
