Vice President – Equity Settlement Operations

About the Role:
We’re seeking a strategic and hands-on leader to oversee Equity Settlements, Stock Lending Settlements , and Income Operations . As VP of Equity Settlement Operations , you\’ll manage a team of 8, lead cross-functional initiatives, and ensure flawless post-trade execution across global markets.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and develop a high-performing operations team, managing escalations, resourcing, and hybrid work schedules.
- Drive operational excellence across stock lending, equity settlements, unmatched trade processing, and reconciliation.
- Implement cross-training programs to build a resilient and flexible team.
- Partner with global stakeholders to resolve breaks and improve trade lifecycle processes.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, including Client Money rules and ICSD/T2S settlement mechanics.
- Analyze MIS reports and lead root cause investigations to reduce fail rates and cancellation volumes.
Requirements:
- Proven leadership in Equity Operations , with a focus on performance management and process improvement.
- Deep knowledge of Cash Equity and Stock Lending Settlements across international markets.
- Strong understanding of trade lifecycle, risk, and control functions.
- Familiarity with platforms like Swift, CREST, Gloss, Citi Velocity, ALERT, Global One , and Easyway .
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
