Description

English Universities Sport (EUS) is the official association in England which administrates and sanctions national representative student competition across higher education. We are a democratic and innovative membership organisation, comprising of a strong Committee, exceptional coach network and professional support staff from the sport and higher education sectors.

EUS strives to support the development of all its student athletes and provide opportunities to compete at the highest domestic representative level. Our teams compete in the biennial Home Nations Tournament as well as numerous fixtures against professional and amateur representative clubs from across the UK.

The Chairperson Role + Lead Trustee Board & Senior Leadership Team meetings

+ Oversee development of organisational strategy & long-term goal achievement

+ Act as the primary representative & spokesperson for EUS at key events

+ Support & manage Vice Chair, Treasurer, Trustee(s) & Heads of roles

+ Ensure EUS compliance with legal, financial, & internal policies

+ Oversee significant relationships with relevant stakeholders & partners

+ Develop EUS engagement with NGBs & sporting pathways

Required Skills, Experience & Knowledge:

+ Proven leadership experience in a voluntary or sport organisation

+ Strong understanding of governance, risk, & organisational strategy

+ Excellent communication & public speaking skills

+ Working knowledge of the UK university & wider sporting landscape

+ Ability to inspire, motivate, & manage diverse teams
