Join Our Team as a Security Officer:
Security Officer to work for one of a prestigious site based in Central London. You will be responsible for maintaining the security requirements of the client whilst maintaining a good corporate image and high standards of professionalism through adherence to directions from the security management team.
About the Role:
As a Security Officer you will be responsible for:
- Maintain a polite, courteous, and friendly manner towards the public, the client, and colleagues.
- Make rounds of inspection at fixed intervals and report in by means of radio or other devices.
- Conduct bag searches on visitors to the site.
- Prevent the admittance to the premises of unauthorised persons.
- Report damage to perimeter fencing or other property or buildings which compromise security.
- Remain alert and vigilant to activity on the site to ensure risks are minimised through prompt action and reporting to the Security Control Room / Security Manager.
- Report suspicious persons or vehicles immediately to the Security Control Room / Security Manager and Police when the situation is perceived an emergency.
- Investigate fire alarm indicators in the buildings and respond as per site procedure.
- Reporting immediately to the Security Control Room / Security Manager action or inaction which compromises safety
- Make enquiries and submit reports on incidents as instructed by the Security Control Room / Security Manager.
- Carry out all other duties as required by the Security Control Room / Security Manager. These may include but are not limited to access control, mail examination, escorting, vehicle searching and cloakroom duties.

- Basic IT Skills
- Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure
- Have an ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports where necessary
- Maintain a high standard of personal presentation
- Demonstrate reliability including the ability to deliver high standards of both punctuality and attendance in order to ensure team effectiveness and availability
- Able to demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team.
- Able to deal calmly and confidently with all demands from the public.
