What is the Global Brand and Marketing Strategy team responsible for?
The team is responsible for developing and executing brand strategy and messaging, assessing and managing global sponsorships (for example, sports), managing marketing projects and materials and coordinating business management functions across the Global Marketing team. As the Marketing Associate, you’ll partner closely with marketing leaders and cross-functional teams to support the needs of business. This will include managing marketing projects related to brand and sponsorships as well as business management responsibilities including aggregating information for marketing reports and communications. In this broad role, the candidate will gain great exposure to strategic and creative marketing, working with partners across business units and countries. Based in Edinburgh, you’ll have support from the onsite marketing team whilst being a part of this global team.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of the Marketing Associate?
Project Management and Reporting
Manage and execute marketing projects, working with key stakeholders to define objectives, timelines, resources and deliverables.
Support the activation and promotion efforts of sports sponsorships.
Develop reports, dashboards, presentations and communications for leaders including key initiative summaries, progress to goals and ad hoc business requests.
Business administration
Manage department cost centers, ensuring alignment with business.
Manage department email distribution lists and shared mailboxes, coordinating with communications team, as appropriate.
Initiate new vendor and contractor set-up, including managing required documents and contracts through approval process (NDAs, Master Services Agreements and Statements of Work).
Process invoices, track approvals and payments; reconcile budget reports.
Partner with Compliance on department required supervisory procedures and other business needs.
Create and maintain a centralized site or folder for internal procedure documents and other key materials for global team.
Maintain department continuity of business plans.
What ideal qualifications would help someone be successful?
Experience within a marketing function, ideally supporting brand, campaign-related and/or sponsorship marketing projects.
Superb communication and relationship-building skills with all levels in an organization.
Highly organized, detail-oriented and proactive.
Excellent project management and analytical skills.
Self-starter with a proven ability to work autonomously and to manage multiple projects/deliverables.
Proficiency at prioritization and ability to work under, and meet, tight deadlines.
Experience working with global teams across multiple regions.
Excellent business judgement and ethics.
Experience with, or a keen interest in, leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and output.
Understanding of investment management, financial services, or related sectors.
