SRM Recruitment are proud to be partnering exclusively with a leading global Private Equity investment firm, managing over $10 billion in AUM, as they look to appoint a Senior Associate into their growing Portfolio Monitoring team.
This is a high-impact role at the core of the firm’s investment operations, offering the opportunity to lead on valuation oversight, portfolio performance reporting, and the mentoring of junior team members. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving improvements across systems, data infrastructure, and portfolio insight generation.
The Role
You’ll act as a key link between investment data, portfolio performance and firm-wide strategy, providing comprehensive insight across a complex and growing portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 5+ years\’ experience in portfolio analysis or reporting, ideally within private equity, asset management or fund services.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee the monitoring and valuation of the investment portfolio
- Lead the preparation of detailed performance reports and investor presentations
- Mentor and review the work of junior team members, ensuring data accuracy and analytical rigor
- Coordinate quarterly valuations and reporting cycles, ensuring deadlines and standards are met
- Support strategic asset management decisions, including disposals and revaluations
- Help develop and refine the firm’s data platform, driving enhancements across systems and processes
Who We\’re Looking For:
- 5+ years’ relevant experience in investment reporting, fund analysis or portfolio oversight
- Experience managing a small team
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong command of Excel (experience with tools like Canoe or ATLAS beneficial)
- Strong attention to detail and a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset
- Comfortable taking ownership of reporting cycles and supporting process improvements
- Experience in private equity or related financial services environment is highly desirable
- Bonus: Up to 50%
