Project Development Manager – Solar & Battery Storage Developments
UK Wide Projects – London Office Base
Salary Dependent on Candidate Experience: £60,000 – 75,000 + wider package
Piper Maddox are excited to be representing one of the top developers of Solar and BESS projects in the UK renewable energy sector. Our client has an excellent portfolio of projects in active development, hugely stable funding & investment, as well as strong ambitions & plans to transition into an IPP model in the near future.
Having been founded over a decade ago, this company has excellent experience within their team, having in-house capabilities across Early-Stage Development, Planning & Consents, Grid & Project Engineering, Design Engineering, as well as the corporate functions. They have a nice balance of being well resourced as a team, without being so big that they can remain dynamic in decision making.
Amidst the ever-changing UK renewable energy market, this company are well placed to maintain their portfolio through the Gate2 process. Their development pipeline is well progressed, and having secured multiple planning consents in recent times, their projects are protected when it comes to excellent grid connection dates. This pipeline sits at a multi-GW level that is protected from reforms.
With such a strong pipeline in place, they are looking to add an experienced Development Manager to their team to drive forward these projects through to the RTB stage and out the other side towards project delivery. Experience in the renewable energy sector is key and prior exposure to NSIP/DCO schemes would be an added bonus but not 100% essential.
In this role, your responsibilities would include:
> End to End project management of utility scale renewable energy developments from
inception, through the RTB stage, and handing over to project delivery phases.
> Securing planning consent for these projects, representing the company at public consultation events as well as statutory consultations.
> Liaison with internal Land teams, as well as project designers and engineers to maintain
project feasibility throughout.
> Management of external stakeholders and consultants on matters within the development
process such as ecology, geospatial characteristics, planning etc.
> Ensuring project viability on a commercial front as well as in the development process –
financial/budgeting matters, as well as timelines/reporting to senior management.
