Job Description

Planning Manager – Data Centres Division – London – Up to £120,000 + Package

Are you an experienced Planning Manager with a track record in large-scale construction projects? This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading Tier 1 main contractor within their specialist Data Centres division, managing programmes from tender stage through to handover.

The Role

As Planning Manager, you’ll be a key part of the project team, taking ownership of programmes across the full lifecycle. You’ll work closely with pre-construction, project delivery and commercial teams to ensure projects are set up for success and delivered to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, managing and maintaining project programmes from tender through to completion.
  • Leading planning input on bids and tenders.
  • Monitoring progress, identifying risks and opportunities, and advising the project team.
  • Supporting project managers and site teams with accurate planning insights and updates.
  • Ensuring best practice planning processes are embedded and adhered to across the division.

About You

  • Strong background as a Senior Planner/Planning Manager within a Tier 1/Tier 2 main Contractor
  • Experience in mission-critical / data centres or other large, complex projects.
  • Proficient in planning software (Primavera P6 or Asta).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to influence and support senior management.
