Area to be covered: Large South East and Anglia (Focus on Eastern side)
Remuneration: £45,000-£50,000 + up to 40% Bonus

The role of the Specification Sales Manager Housing Associations & Local Authorities will involve:
Field sales role selling a manufactured range of functional and practical adapted bathrooms for the elderly and less-abled
60% specification field sales led position gaining specifications with local authorities, housing associations and disabled facilities grants DFGs via HIAs (home improvement agencies)
40% managing main contractors who work of local authorities,and specialist adapted bathroom sub contractors and installers
Protecting specifications and breaking other adapted bathroom manufacturers specifications wherever possible through offering an attractive commercial alternative solution
You will inherit a project bank, as well as relationships with approx. 300+ accounts, which will be a mixture of local boroughs and main contractors/ specialist adapted bathroom sub contractors
Inheriting an established area, currently performing slightly below budget and turning over circa £1.2m
New business development focus although there will be a healthy mix of existing relationships vs new relationships
Mix of public sector and private sector end users including; occupational therapists, residential homes, nursing homes, care homes etc but can be anyone with an adapted bathroom need (currently 90% healthcare, although our client is looking to expand into commercial, hospitality and high rise residential)
The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager Housing Associations & Local Authorities with:
Must have specification field sales experience within ideally; local authorities, housing associations, social housing, HIAs home improvement agencies or DFGs disability facility grants
May be open to housebuilder and architectural specification field sales experience as well
Ideally sold bathroom/ KBB products, but open to most interior building products and possibly some exterior products with relevant customer experience
Open to kitchen, bedroom, bathroom related backgrounds as well as showers, boilers, fans and other building materials related field sales backgrounds
Main contractor or specialist adapted bathroom sub-contractor/ installer field sales route to market experience is not essential
Healthcare product knowledge is not required, as all construction product backgrounds will be considered
Sales hunter mentality/ ne business orientated
