Job Title: Workday Practice Lead (VP/Director Level)
Location: Hybrid – Ideally 1 day per week in London office
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)

The Planet Group have recently been engaged by an established Digital Consultancy who have recently become a Workday AMS Partner. The organisation is looking to hire a senior and visionary Workday Practice Lead (VP or Director level) to establish and drive their Workday practice and business unit.
Role Overview:
This is a pivotal leadership role, senior to key internal stakeholders where you will define the strategic direction, build out the practice, and lead the entry and expansion within the Workday market. While not a sales role, you will provide strategic support to commercial teams and collaborate with peers to align on client engagement and market approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Practice Leadership: Build, lead, and scale the Workday practice, with full ownership of its direction, structure, and delivery outcomes.
- Market Strategy: Map out the Workday ecosystem, identify priority sectors, and define a compelling go-to-market strategy.
- Talent Acquisition: Recruit and develop a high-performing team of Workday consultants and pre-sales professionals.
- Strategic Collaboration: Provide executive-level leadership while supporting peers in sales and delivery teams to capture and deliver new business.
- Service Innovation: Define offerings that differentiate in the Workday AMS space and beyond.
- Delivery Oversight: Ensure successful delivery of client engagements, maintaining quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Senior-level experience (VP/Director) in ERP or Workday consulting, with a track record of building practices or business units.
- Strong ERP background – experience in Workday preferred, but Salesforce, Oracle, or NetSuite experience also considered.
- Deep understanding of the Workday ecosystem and market opportunities.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to shape service offerings and market strategy.
- Proven leadership skills, with experience hiring and developing high-performing teams.
- Comfortable operating above director-level peers and setting strategic direction independently
