Job Title: Junior Buyer
Location: North Manchester
Industry: Manufacturing
Salary: £31 – £32,000 per annum base + Amazing benefits and pension

Requirements:
- Between 2-4 years’ experience in a Purchasing Assistant/Admin role with some buying responsibilities in an organization managing a global supply base
- Experience of buying for an engineering department would be an advantage
- Experience of using an ERP system such as SAP or equivalent
- Responsible for researching and sourcing suppliers
- Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers on a global basis
- Negotiating prices on a variety of products
- Negotiates cost savings
- Deals with supplier invoice queries, investigates discrepancies and resolves issues
- Works with team to ensure that parts are of the agreed quality and highlights any issues
Day to Day role:
- Works as a team to drive total cost reduction across the supply chain by focusing on identifying cost down opportunities
- Identifies, plans and implements continuous improvement opportunities within the supply chain to achieve best practice
- Manages and negotiates supplier contracts on an international basis
- Uses just in time principles to meet production demands
- Works cross functionally with all areas of the business, particularly engineering and production
