The Opportunity

Are you a technical expert with a passion for food safety, compliance, and raw material integrity? Walker & Son, a leader in high-quality food manufacturing, is looking for aCompliance & Raw Materials Managerto lead our sites technical compliance and raw materials agenda.

  • Own and lead the sitesQuality Management System (QMS)to ensure safe, legal, and high-quality products.
  • Championaudit readiness, leading internal, third-party, and customer audits.
  • Manageraw material approval and validation, ensuring supplier compliance and material integrity.
  • Lead theHACCP, TACCP, and VACCPprogrammes and maintain robust food defence plans.
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing technical team, driving continuous improvement and technical excellence.
The Ideal Candidate

  • Degree or HND in a food-related subject (or equivalent experience).
  • Level 4 HACCP and Food Safety qualifications.
  • 23 years experience in a technical compliance and raw materials role within food manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of UK retailer Codes of Practice and food safety legislation.
  • Proven leadership in managing audits, risk assessments, and supplier performance.
  • Digitally proficient, with strong skills in Microsoft Office and Power BI.
