We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC programmer who has experience on Mazak machines. Progression available for this role. 39 hours per week with OT paid at time and half. Immediate starts.
Responsibilities
- Develop and modify CNC programmes using CAD software, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in machining processes.
- Operate CNC milling machines, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineers to understand project requirements and translate them into effective machining strategies.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilise mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues that may arise during the machining process.
- Fabricate parts as required, employing welding techniques when necessary.
- Handle materials appropriately, ensuring safe and efficient movement within the warehouse environment.
- Use hand tools effectively for assembly and adjustment of machined components.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Must have experience on Mazak machines
- Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of tooling and fabrication processes.
- Experience in operating milling machines and familiarity with warehouse operations.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members.
