What You’ll Be Doing

  • You will get involved in specialist technical work such as noise & vibration onsite monitoring, modelling, analysis and reporting.
  • You will be involved in Environmental Acoustics projects from day one and will have the opportunity to work on projects from proposal stage through to completion.
  • Support, and drive, technical learning and development opportunities for the team.
  • Lead on project management for multidisciplinary projects where acoustics is a key factor.
  • Support our clients on projects both locally and throughout the UK as required, managing existing relationships with current clients, promoting BWB and its service offerings
  • You will work on many different types of projects, including new road and rail schemes, new residential settlements, high-rise city centre buildings, retail developments, renewable energy projects, and commercial / industrial developments.
  • You will be an integral part of our Acoustics service at BWB and may also have the opportunity to work flexibly across many of our other disciplines if desired..
  • You will have the opportunity to get involved in Advisory Division and BWB initiatives.
  • You will have the opportunity to mentor junior team members.

What You’ll Bring

  • A relevant Acoustics related degree / qualifications.
  • At least five years of Environmental Acoustics related Consultancy experience – candidates will not be considered without prior consultancy experience.
  • Experience of EIA/DCO projects would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrable environmental noise survey experience and experience of noise modelling (experience of CadnaA noise modelling software is desirable).
  • Experience of project management and project financial management.
  • Keen to share your ideas about how we can do things better.
  • Enthusiastic and ambitious to learn and progress.
  • A problem solver with strong oral and written communication skills.
  • A highly organised individual, with the ability to meet deadlines, prioritise work and react calmly and proactively in a range of situations.
  • The ability to work well within a team and work individually.
  • Junior team member mentoring experience is preferable.
  • Right to Work and live in the UK.
  • A UK driving licence and willingness to drive for work purposes.
