We are seeking a skilled Electrical Site Technician with proven experience in control panel wiring, marshalling cabinet modifications, and E,C&I installation to support large-scale nuclear projects across the UK. This role requires regular site-based work, primarily in the Bridgwater area, and will involve the on-site modification and testing of electrical control systems in highly regulated environments.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically competent technician or electrician looking to progress their career in operational technology, digital transformation, and critical infrastructure delivery.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site electrical modifications, wiring, and panel alterations using detailed schematics and layout drawings
- Carry out full electrical testing: earth continuity, insulation resistance, point-to-point checks, and system power-up verification
- Install, gland, and terminate control cables including paired and multicore cables
- Update redline drawings and communicate with site managers, design teams, and commissioning engineers to resolve technical issues
Required Skills:
- Solid experience in E,C&I installation and control panel wiring within industrial environments
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical circuit diagrams, GA drawings, and wiring schedules
- Flexibility to travel and work across multiple UK customer sites, including extended periods in Bridgwater
- Eligibility for SC Security Clearance
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential
