This is a newly created Group Accountant / Croup Financial Controller opportunity within a fast-growing, multi-entity group, which has recently received significant investment. The role offers a rare blend of technical accounting, commercial finance, and M&A integration in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

The business operates across multiple sites and divisions, and have a lean, ambitious leadership team basedin the Dartford / North West Kent area.
Description
Reporting to the Group Finance Director, the Group Financial Controller / Group Accountant will:
- Lead the monthly consolidation of group accounts across multiple trading entities
- Own technical accounting, audit preparation, and compliance processes
- Support M&A integration, including acquisition accounting and systems harmonisation
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in partnership with operational teams
- Help implement and optimise the ERP system for group-wide reporting
- Identify and deliver process improvements across reporting and controls
- Play a key role in shaping the future finance structure as the group scales
Profile
The successful Financial Controller / Group Accountant should have:
- A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Strong technical accounting and group consolidation experience
- A background in multi-entity, multi-site environments
- Excellent Excel and financial systems skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach and strong commercial awareness
It would also be beneficial if you have:
- Experience in a Private Equity-backed business
- Exposure to M&A and post-acquisition integration and alignment of processes and systems.
Job Offer
- Base Salary: of £70,000 – £85,000 + benefits, depending on experience
- Hybrid working: c3 days/week in the office.
