Experienced Service Engineer required to join a skilled team of engineers working for an established system builder who predominantly supply the food industry. This role not only promises a competitive salary of £35 – 40K but also a very competitive overall package with travel time and nights away factored in of £50 – 60K. Basic salary will rise with experience gained within a structured and measured framework built around system familiarisation offering long term prospects.
Generally working Monday – Friday 40 hours per week – There will be early or late starts as well as nights away on occasion.
What You Will Do:
- Install, maintain, and commission state-of-the-art machinery and equipment across the UK.
- Swiftly respond to emergency breakdowns, working under pressure to restore failed systems.
- Conduct planned maintenance and coordinate effectively with customers.
- Provide invaluable \’help desk\’ support and advice to customers via telephone and e-communication.
- Compile detailed written service reports following fault diagnostics and repair.
- Participate in training sessions at the company’s headquarters and abroad to enhance your skills and knowledge.
What You Will Bring:
- Proven electrical/ mechanical background ideally qualified to level NVQ or C&G, apprenticeship served is advantageous
- Experience in a food processing/ manufacturing/ electrical/ mechanical environment is advantageous.
- Proven electrical and mechanical fault finding on industrial equipment
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, during unsociable hours, and in various locations.
- A full clean driving licence.
- A willingness to undertake extensive training
You will have current or recent experience as a field service engineer, service technician, maintenance engineer, electrical fitter, electro-mechanical fitter, system builder or electrical technician
