Description Joining vehicle solutions, Part of Motability Operations Limited, the UK\’s largest vehicle leasing company. Due to growth and the opening of our new state of the art refurbishment centre we are seeking a people driven team member to assist with the technical training of staff in our vehicle reconditioning workshop operation in Coalville, Leicestershire. Reporting into the Technical Training Manager, the principal objective of this role is to ensure that all our refurbishment staff are trained in accordance with the required reconditioning standards, with particular emphasis being place on our apprentices and trainees. The technical training of all our refurbishment staff is a key element to our business and ensuring that our trainees and apprentices are trained, guided and mentored through their learning journey is a key aspect to this role. Qualifications We are seeking someone who is experienced in all aspects of vehicle refurbishment (Panel repair and preparation, primer application, paint and polish, as well as a knowledge of SMART repair techniques) To join us in a full time or part time capacity. A proven track record of training technical teams to success is also required. Being passionate about training and mentoring others is a key characteristic that we are looking for as well as someone with experience and skill who is willing to pass that onto others. Patient and diligent, we are looking for a technical trainer that can take others under their wing and get the very best from our refurbishment staff. Possessing excellent communication skills capable of explaining complex technical concepts to, yet non-technical staff. Thriving in the fast-paced world of vehicle refurbishment, you will be part of a dynamic team driving continues improvement to make significant impact on the success of vehicle solutions and the wider organisation. Minimum criteria Full Driving licence Experience of coaching and mentoring others, as well as report writing and assisting in the production of training material. Experience in the following aspects of refurbishment. Panel repair and preparation, primer application, paint and polish, as well as a knowledge of SMART repair techniques. Excellent people skills, being comfortable in dealing with people of all levels of seniority. Experience of high-volume cosmetic repairs in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
