Senior Quantity Surveyor * Residential Main Contractor * Permanent: Up to £80,000 + Package * Based in Kegworth We are currently searching for a Senior Quantity Surveyor for an award-winning main contractor who specialises in residential projects in both the UK and Ireland. These projects range from traditional build houses to midrise RC frame apartment complexes with values up to £40m. This is a multi-project role and you will be assigned several projects in UK and Ireland to run simultaneously. Each project will have its own Quantity Surveyor and Assistant Quantity Surveyor, so this role will also have a heavy emphasis on team management. The Role: * Lead cost planning, budgeting, and financial control across residential projects. * Manage tendering, procurement, and negotiation of subcontractor and supplier packages. * Administer contracts, ensuring compliance with terms, variations, and change control. * Prepare and manage valuations, payment applications, and final accounts. * Produce regular financial reports, including cost/value reconciliations and forecasts. * Identify and manage commercial risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions. * Collaborate with project teams, clients, and consultants to ensure project delivery. * Mentor and support junior surveying staff, promoting professional development. Experience Required: * 5+ Years experience working as a Quantity Surveyor or higher in the residential construction sector. * Strong team management skills with a passion for developing other members of you team. * Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management is beneficial, but applicants coming from an apprenticeship route will not be discounted. This role could also be fulfilled from their office in Northern Ireland, so there is the option to relocate there if someone has that aspiration.
